On Sunday morning March 22, 2020, the Online Education Development Office (OEDO) organized a Drone Aerial Videography of campus buildings together with Architecture Professor Toru Takeuchi and Tofuna Eizo Co., Ltd to collect video materials for Professor Takeuchi’s new online course which is under development entitled, "Japanese Architecture & Structural Design". The OEDO general manager, Professor Jeffrey Cross, and Assoc. The Main Building, Institute Library& Centennial Hall, EEI Building (North Bldg. 3), and Midorigaoka Building 1 were shot. Their appearance and structural design will be taken as examples in the new online course, which will be launched during the summer of 2020 on edX.

This is the first time a drone has been flown on the Ookayama campus to capture videos for an online course with aerial shots and we believe they will give learners a better understanding of the course and Tokyo Tech’s award-winning building architecture, where the buildings were designed by Tokyo Tech faculty.
